Hello!

I'm Flo! I'd love to tell you my story but the truth is I'm a lot better at peeking through a camera lens than I am at showing myself off. (reason why it took me longer than I'd like to admit to write this 'About Me' page)

To sum myself up, I'm a 19 year old photographer based in Bedfordshire, focused on natural portraits and live concerts.

I enjoy travelling, so most of my work is away from home and I plan to one day hit the road and 'capture the world' full-time.

I also picked up a different kind of shooting: Airsoft! (except this time, I'm also being shot back.)

What photography means to me

Everyone views the world from their own unique perspective. I see photography as a way to share my perspective back with the world.

I don't tend to set my camera up on a tripod and wait long hours for "the perfect shot", if such thing even exists.

Although many other photographers do that, most of the time I'll simply spot a moment of authenticity and use my camera to capture it. To show others what I saw; to sort of... freeze it in time.

That's exactly the thing I find most fascinating about photography: its permanency; being able to vaguely re-live a specific moment forever, almost like time is being frozen.

What to expect from our shoot

I aim to keep a candid style in my work. Trying to capture everything in a natural light, so, the chances of you being posed in an uncomfortable, stiff position, that guarantees to radiate awkwardness in your photos, are very very slim.

Although I might ask you to climb a thing or two, or to fight your way through some bushes and ferns, I can guarantee the shots from our day will all come from a place of fun and exploration.

I get it! Most people get shy as soon as the camera is pointed their way, including myself. Therefore, my main goal is to capture you in your most comfortable element. I want you to be yourself in front of the lens, so your confidence shines through in the edits! After all, photoshoots are all about having fun and showing yourself off.

Future Plans

I've definitely grown in my abilities as a photographer, but also as an individual since I first got my hands on a camera. I discovered there's a lot more to photography than sitting pretty and capturing a posed smile. I also learned that it's A LOT more complicated than I expected. I'm still at the beginning of my journey and I'm working on not only improving the quality of my work but also on discovering the depths I could capture within it.

I aim to stay close to music, so, right now, I'm collaborating with a few small bands and artists and, although I love shooting small, intimate gigs, I'm excited for my future opportunities of expanding my work to larger scales.
